Barbara Hale, Director of Operations

Barbara is Senior Vice President, Operations of Prospera Financial Services. She manages the day to day operations of the firm. She directs Managers for the IT, Accounting, Operations and Advisory areas and is responsible for the new business transitions and Prospera’s service standards.

Barbara began her career with EF Hutton as a wire operator in 1982. She learned the business one department at a time and was Operations Manager when she left Hutton to join Prospera in 1992. Since joining Prospera, Barbara has progressed from Operations Manager to Director of Operations and currently is the Senior Vice President of Operations.

Barbara graduated from the University of South Carolina after service in the US Navy. She holds her securities license Series 7,63,53,55 and 24.

Chris Wigington, Operations Manager

Chris is the Manager of Operations for Prospera Financial Services.  Chris and his Operations Team strive to provide you with a 5-star client experience.  Chris started in the industry in 1997 and has held several positions in Operations, Compliance and Quality Enhancement.

Prior to joining Prospera, Chris worked as a financial advisor and Branch Manager at Wells Fargo Advisors in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Chris graduated from the University of Iowa with a BS in Finance.  Chris holds the Series 4, 7, 24, 31, 53, 63 and 66 licenses.

Jim Stone, Trading/Model Senior Specialist

Jim joined Prospera in February 2007. In his position as Head Trader, Jim is responsible for all daily activities of the Prospera Trading Desk. Working to ensure Best Executions, expediency, accuracy, and superior customer service to his clients, (our representatives and Institutional clients), are just a few of the challenges he takes on every day. Jim is also an integral member of the overall Operations Dept. with a working knowledge of all Operations functions including reorg, asset movement, account transfer, and new accounts.  Jim holds Series 7, 63, 24, & 55 securities licenses.

Marco Galvan, Technology Manager

Marco serves as the Manager of Information Technology  for Prospera Financial Services.  In this capacity he oversees the firm’s technology systems and support services.

Marco came to Prospera in 2010 with a diverse background in non-profit program management and call center operations, spanning 12 years.  Marco graduated from Austin College with a BA in Psychology and earned a Masters in Education, with a concentration in Counseling, from University of Texas San Antonio.

Jaci Spann, Client Service Case Senior Specialist

Jaci has 13 years experience on both the Ops and SA side of the business. In her position as Operations Support Specialist, Jaci is responsible for all incoming and outgoing checks, wires, ACH’s and asset movements.  Jaci receives all BEST email, and ensures that each request is properly routed to the appropriate department in a timely manner. With her knowledge, quiet confidence and exemplary work ethic, Jaci is the perfect fit as a first line contact in the Operations Dept.

German Hernandez, Advisory Case Senior Specialist

German serves as the Advisory Sr. Specialist, his primary responsibilities include main Advisory liaison, Summit account fee billing, Envestnet, Direct Business processing and back-up to the trading desk. German joined Prospera in August of 2006 and has over 10 years of experience in Operations, holds series 7 and 99 securities licenses  

Caryn Borden, Service Manager

Caryn serves as the Service Manager for Prospera Financial Services. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing the day to day service aspects for Operations and managing customer service delivery by implementing and ensuring high quality service standards for the Firm’s Clients.

Caryn joined Prospera in 2016 and has over 8 years of experience in the Financial Industry. Caryn earned her bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech University and her MBA at Southern Methodist University and holds the Series 7, 24, and 66 securities licenses.
